The seven spring herbs

The seven spring herbs are SERI (Japanese parsley), NAZUNA (shepherd’s purse), GOGYO (HAHAKOGUSA) (cotton weed), HAKOBERA (HAKOBE) (chickweed), HOTOKENOZA (KONITABIRAKO) (henbit), SUZUNA (KABU) (turnip), SUZUSHIRO (DAIKON) (Japanese radish).

It is said that eating NANAKUSA-GAYU (rice porridge with seven spring edible herbs) on January 7th prevents illnesses such as colds. This custom was introduced to Japan from China in the Heian era.
Tomorrow is January 7th !! I have to look for these herbs in order to eat NANAKUSA-GAYU.
